Reporting Bugs And Contact

There is a mailing list devoted to PENG, <peng-list@fh-soft.de>. Mails to the list should be in English. To subscribe, send the command `subscribe peng-list <your@mail.address>' in the body of a mail to <peng-list-request@fh-soft.de>. The list is archived on the WWW at http://www.gnu.de/archive/wilma.cgi/peng-list.

If you think you've found a bug, anything from a typo to a segfault (or system crash under Dos ;-), please report it on the list. If necessary, you can also contact the author directly at <frank@g-n-u.de>. Please include an exact description of the bug and the circumstances under which it shows as well as the version (release and platform) of PENG. Since PENG is a complex program, it is important to describe the circumstances exactly, otherwise I might not be able to reproduce and fix the bug. Sometimes it might be necessary to include one or several (data or config) files to reproduce the bug. In this case, please keep the files small by removing parts irrelevant to the bug, and uuencode or MIME encode the files if necessary. Suggestions for new features can, of course, also be addressed to the list or the author.
